Verisk Analytics, a data analytics provider, said Monday it acquired The GeoInformation Group, a company that’s involved in geographic data solutions and based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Shares drifted slightly lower.
GeoInformation offers mapping services and geospatial data and analytic solutions to an array of companies and more than 300 public sector organizations. Financial terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.
“This acquisition expands Verisk’s footprint in the U.K. as a data and analytics provider across multiple markets, including insurance, energy, and real estate,” said Scott Stephenson, CEO of Verisk Analytics.
